Beware the Ides of March?

It is March, that month wherein graduate students begin to get word of grants and fellowships offered and denied.
Treat us gently if you run across us. The whole month is full of this, not just the Ides. Sometimes the anxiety continues through April and May, or even into the summer.
(And now back to recharging the laptop battery in a part of the library that has available electrical outlets, which the special scholarly reading room seems to lack.)
